Dispute

To initiate a dispute with Card Network like VISA or MasterCard, cardholders usually contact their card issuer and provide details about the disputed transaction, such as the transaction date, amount, and merchant information. The issuer then investigates the dispute, often with the assistance of Card Network's dispute resolution services.

During the investigation, the card issuer may temporarily credit the disputed amount back to the cardholder's account while conducting the investigation. After completing the investigation, the issuer informs the cardholder of the outcome and may either reverse the temporary credit or permanently credit the account for the disputed amount, depending on the findings.

 Dispute resolution process is designed to protect cardholders from unauthorized transactions, billing errors, and fraudulent activity, ensuring that they receive prompt and fair resolution for disputed transactions.
